When Do Puppies Open Their Eyes

Two and three week old puppies will be able to track objects with their eyes and judge how far away a toy or a moving object is.

Many novice breeders are interested in puppies opening their eyes. Their eyes will begin to open in the second week of life usually between 10 to 14 days of age. Their open eyes continue to develop for several more weeks. When the optical nerves have fully finished its development the puppies come out of their comfort zone to address the environment around.
